Sacred Spaces

In designing our chapel, PKSB included a wall of windows which look out to wetlands beyond. It is a constant reminder of our religious responsibility to care for the environment.
— Rabbi Leah Cohen

Many of today’s religious spaces are no longer sanctuaries from this world but rather places where congregations come together to celebrate community and nature as part of the religious experience.  Following these parameters, PKSB’s designs for religious projects are intimate in scale, natural in choice of materials and inspire communal prayer.

In all of our religious projects, we strive to establish architecture of identity… an architecture that embraces the community’s shared heritage but firmly looks to the future.
