PKSB Architects

PKSB’s approach to planning merges new developments with existing communities. The firm takes careful consideration of the community’s role in shaping the built environment.

At the New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Westchester Division, PKSB completed a Master Plan for the 214-acre campus. The complex plan involves multiple developers and provides opportunities to significantly enhance public open space and recreation resources for White Plains community while preserving and maintaining the historic district and campus character.

The plan for the Burlington Town Center turns the mall inside out and restores long-abandoned city streets by breaking down the scale of the current mega-blocks. PKSB's design translates traditional Vermont building materials to a larger scale while embracing the smaller scale, pedestrian-friendly feeling of the city's more historic neighborhoods.

Designing a dream city is easy; rebuilding a living one takes imagination.
